RESEARCH PRIORITIES
Research required to support natural landscape management aimed at maintaining the diversity of the Mixedwood Plains Ecozone pteridophytes would include the following priorities:
- expansion of baseline population and site ecology data;
- assessment of the impact of habitat fragmentation, particularly the impact of forest fragmentation on woodland taxa;
- ecological requirements of rare species.
