ABSTRACT
The dwindling inventory of terrestrial molluscs in this heavily impacted
zone of transition communities is documented for the first time since a
series of cited publications in 1948. Counting taxa that require
further work, approximately 170 taxa at species/subspecies level are
known from this district. Half of these appear to be confined to very
few populations, for various reasons that require further study and
documentation (Fig TM-1).
